Today I went to my favourite healthy restaurant in Toronto and met three friends and former colleagues. The restaurant used to be named Juice for Life but changed it to Fresh - probably because people thought that it was just a juice bar.
I never get to go there because there isn't one in my neighbourhood and my husband has never liked the food. He doesn't go for that super healthy, vegetarian, wheat-free, dairy-free thing.
The Meal

Although, having said that it's uber healthy, we did get the quinoa onion ring appetizer, which were delicious and don't seem all that healthy.
But I redeemed myself with my meal of macro greens on brown rice with a coconut curry sauce, and some extra cayenne to spice it up a bit.

The Company
My post from Day 28 was called "You Can't Make Old Friends." While that is true, I think it's also true that you can start making old friends - you just won't know if it's worked for a long time. I'm lucky to have worked with some amazing people and often found myself wishing and hoping to become better friends with some of my work friends. But it's difficult to move from work friend to outside of work friend. Luckily, if you all stop working at that company, it does help to speed up the process.
The women that i saw today are now my friends (lost the work part). And probably because we are in similar fields and we used to work together, we end up talking about our careers, where we're going, where we want to be etc. I find it immensely helpful and inspiring to have these strong, insightful women to talk and listen to.
At lunch I mentioned Marie Forleo and how she talks about having a power posse. Well, these women are definitely a part of my power posse.
And I'm hopeful that we're on the way to becoming old friends.
